bath bomb ingredients
2 cups baking soda
1 cup corn starch
1 cup epsom salt
1 cup citric acid
1 tsp sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (Optional)
4 tsp coconut oil
2 tsp witch hazel
1-2 tsp fragrance oil or essential oil (I used French Market)
For the bath bombs first mix all of the dry ingredients except for the citric acid. You want to mix wet and dry ingredients separately and then mix them together then, add citric acid. This makes it so the reaction with the baking soda and citric acid doesn't start when you add your wet ingredients. After everything is mixed you want your mixture to be similar to wet sand and stick together on its own.
When I mold my bath bombs I lightly overfill both sides and then push them together. If you want to make sure your bath bomb stays together, you can lightly tap one side of the mold with a spoon, take the mold off, and then check if the bath bomb is still together. After molding your bath bomb, secure your mold with a hair tie.
After they dry for 24 hours its time to decorate:) I mixed coconut oil with some mica and painted some flowers on the top to decorate. (I used Electric bubblegum pink and Fizzy lemonade)
