Star Light Star Bright Bath Bomb

bath bomb ingredients
2 cups baking soda
1 cup corn starch
1 cup epsom salt
1 cup citric acid
1 tsp sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (Optional)
4 tsp coconut oil
2 tsp witch hazel
1-2 tsp fragrance oil or essential oil (I used Hula Girl)

For the bath bombs first mix all of the dry ingredients except for the citric acid. You want to mix wet and dry ingredients separately and then mix them together then, add citric acid. This makes it so the reaction with the baking soda and citric acid doesn't start when you add your wet ingredients. After everything is mixed you want your mixture to be similar to wet sand and stick together on its own. I added some snowflake sparkle mica to the mixture to add some sparkle to the water. I added it when I added my citric acid.

When I mold my bath bombs I lightly overfill both sides and then push them together. If you want to make sure your bath bomb stays together, you can lightly tap one side of the mold with a spoon, take the mold off, and then check if the bath bomb is still together. After molding your bath bomb, secure your mold with a hair tie.

Let your bath bombs dry in the mold for 24 hours until you remove the molds. You can lightly tap the mold with a spoon to lossen the mold.

Now its time to make the bubble bar stars. I used a kitchen aid to mix all of these ingredients but you could also use a hand mixer.

Bubble Bar Star ingredients:
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup SLSA
1/4 cup corn starch
1/2 cup liquid glycerin
1 tbsp oil

Mix all of the ingredients together. You might need to add more glycerin depending on how thick you want your Bubble Bars to be. Then roll out your dough and use a cookie cutter to make the stars. Put them on top of your bath bombs and cover the tops with yellow mica. I added some body safe glitter to the top. let dry for 24 hours or until your bubble bars are dry.
