Heart Throb Bubble Bars



Bubble Bar Recipe

Dry ingredents
1 cup sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (SLSA)
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup corn starch

1/2 cup cream of tarter 

Wet ingredients
1/2 cup liquid glycerin
1 tbsp oil (I used olive oil)
1 tbsp water
1 tsp fragrance oil (I used Juicy Couture)
Pink food coloring 

Decorations

Small heart cookie cutter
snowflake sparkle Mica

First, I put the dry
ingredients in my kitchen aid and move on to the wet ingredients. With the wet ingredients you want to first measure them out and then stir them together until all ingredients are well incorporated. This is really important because if you don't mix them first your bubble bars won't stick together. Next, you want to mix wet and dry ingredients. When mixing everything together you will want to cover your kitchen aid because the SLSA can get into the air and make you cough and cause discomfort (some people like to wear a mask when working with SLSA but that is optional). After mixing everything you are ready to mold your bubble bars. Note if your mixture is not sticking together now it won't stick together later so you need to add more glycerin until a dough like consistency is achieved. 


Next I rolled my mixture into balls and flattened them out, then covered them in the silver mica. Then I used my heart cookie cutter to put a heart on the top.

Let dry for a few hours before using or gifting. (this could take a few days)

To use
Hold bubble bar under running water and watch the bubbles form:) Be careful, your tub may become slick when using bath products like this.
